For anyone interested I got my MT2 and 160mm rotor at Pricepoint.com. The MT2 was $94.98 and the Magura SL Storm rotor was $26.98. Cheapest I found.

You can get a set of two MT2 on ebay with a choice of rotor size and type, $199 to $229 USD shipped.

I got a set with 180/203 standard rotors for $199, they ship from Germany, already running one of them, great brakes, but keep in mind that you need a fitting and olive to shorten the lines as they are ~eight feet long

That is a great deal Ben! I did not think about International Locals when checking eBay. Mine came with the olive and fitting, but I can't imagine they are much at all. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to cut your brake hose?

I got the olives from a local bike shop, I was abel to re-use the "quill" though it was a bit of work getting it out of the old tubing

I have some construction "scissors" which have a blunt side which holds the tubing and then the other side cuts. It was easy to cut, so you choudl probably use some standard scissors or a razor knife. If you worried about the hose "flattening", then use magura tubing holder or a piece of metal tubing to support the hose.

Thanks a lot for the help Ben. Really appreciate it!

Here's my set-up, mind you, I have a weld-on tab for my Surly Frame. Brakes are Formula Oro K24, rotor is a magura 180mm. It fits with room to spare, regarding cranks/caliper/rotor. I have to get a couple of 1mm spacers, the 2mm spacers I have put the caliper out about 1mm too far, it limits the amount of "toward the hub" adjustment I can make and there is an ever-so-slight rub right now.

The whole set-up was way easier to get dialed in than the MountainUni set-up and everything fits together. The Spirit cranks are FABULOUSSS!

I got the 165/137's

Thank you Kris Holm!!!!!

Tirving, nice brake set up, but dude, what's with that frame color, did they have a sale on paint??

Kinda looks like Duck colors

So did you see where the newest Devist8er has gone on a diet and lost like 200-300gm?

I'm waiting to see if they'll come out with an ultralight...

Yeah, gold is much better... It's a John Deere color scheme.

I think I'm done with the super fat tires, I may even go back to my duro 3.0. I like the way my uni feels on technical downhill. I'll probably build a light 26" wheel for general riding with a lightweight 2.6-ish tire and keep the Devist8er on the large marge rim. We will see, another option is a Schlumpf wheelset for the Surly. I've lost a little motivation though as I have an MRI scheduled on Saturday, possible PCL tear in my left knee. My other hobby is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. Damn knee.....

Ow! Bummer about the knee, been there myself, I gave up martial arts a few years back after wrapping my foot around a partner's elbow

My Oregon is currently sporting an Intense 2.5 which looks tiny in the frame, but rides nice; it's my son's daily driver so I set it up for whatever he likes.

I spend most of my time on a 29 x 2.4 (Hans Dampf), looking for a fatter 29er tire in the near future...three inches is rumored, which will fit in an Oregon frame

Take care of that knee.

Being such a minimal difference on each leg of the QM11 I doubt it really makes a difference. However, I did have to use washers between the frame and the QM11 to get the proper clearance to center the disk in the caliper. Really happy with the brake though!
Agreed. Switched it today. Fits like a glove. Took much fewer adjustments than when I had it on backwards. Funny how that happens.

And here are pictures that I promised earlier of the "extra" gold bolt and it's barrel (still no idea what they do) along with the two hardware store washers that I did not use. I tried using the washers again (stubborn) when I flipped the adaptor around but they give the rotor a noisy rub. Without the washers, they are quiet as can be. For now...

Hi David,

Those extra little parts are the pieces you will need if you shorten your brake line. When you cut it the barb, gold thing, and olive go on the newly cut brake hose so you can attach it to the master cylinder. I know my line was really long. I will be cutting it down tomorrow.

Especially those nice KH w/ disk pics. I'm really getting itchy for a new set of 'wheel'.

The joy of the KH crank based system is that you only need new cranks and a Nimbus D'Brake adapter (along with the brake of course) - no need for a new anything else. Kind of spoils the excuse for a new uni though I guess

That's what I have, I can run my 24" 3.0, 26" 3.8 or 29" 2.4 in my frame just by switching wheelsets and tweaking the disk caliper alignment a bit. I wish KH would come out with a frame that would fit all my wheelsets, he just needs a slightly wider frame or one that is shaped like the surly conundrum. I think that could be an the evolution of uni frames, one frame for multiple wheelsets.
