This should be really interesting. I'm curious to see the results. I ride flat and street so my imput wouldn't be helpful.

I haven't tried a different tire size but now I'm tempted to get a 2.5". I only recently experimented with different crank sizes on my muni. Last week I tried 125mm and was surprised I was able to climb as well as I did on 165mm but my downhill speed suffered because of the lack of control. Yesterday I tried 145mm and it found it to be the sweet spot for me. Plenty of control and not a lot of needless foot movement which I think was tiring me out.
