1. My hands are free to carry bags of groceries.

2. I can bring it into shops with me.

3. It fits in my entrance way, and a bike would not.

(I'm talking 36")

Very true - Best suspension you're gonna get too - Your arms and upper body

I think I'd be hard pushed doing that with a 36".

I figure that I need to get good enough on one wheel before I try two! A bike just seems like it would be "twice" as hard!

But seriously, it's because I wanted a *real* challenge! And because it's a superior and extremely effective form of exercise, and will get you in the best shape of your life!

I forgot this one. I live in a community on top of a mountain, and all of our mailboxes are in one location, so I ride all the way over the the mailboxes and grab the mail, it's got hills on the way and everything. So for instance today I had to come back carrying a package and climbing/descending short steep hills, it was good practice.

I like things that are hard. I went to fixed gear mountain biking and the figured muni was harder. However I much prefer trials biking to trials unicycling. I wish I didn't because unicycles are so much simpler, cheaper, and portable. But desire is not always a choice.

You would be surprised what some people think. I was riding a century on my 36er guni and passed a woman at about 80 miles riding into a headwind. As I passed her she looked at me and said, " Oh, it must be easier on one wheel." I thought she had to be joking but she seemed to be serious.

Like holding open a door, or throwing your jacket over a puddle for a lady so she would avoid getting wet, you should have done the gentlemanly thing and offered to "trade" with her!
