Two sets of 2004 Magura HS33 Limited Edition Olympia brakes with the gold lever

Two sets of 2004 Magura HS33 Limited Edition Olympia brakes, lightly used

I found a stash of some lightly used 2004 Olympia limited edition HS33 brakes with the gold lever blade. One set says "Olympia" and the other set just has the gold lever blade. These pimpin’ brakes were the last special edition before Magura switched over to the newer 2005 lever style. Magura sold the limited edition Olympia brakes in numbered sets and their release was timed to commemorate the 2004 Olympics.

These are $90-95/per wheel depending on which ones you want. They come set up with black or red brake pads and whatever line length and crossover tube length you want (I can calculate line length for you if you want me to), bled and tested for leaks and function. Mounts not included.

This brake will fit on any Kris Holm unicycle: 20, 24, 29 and 36 or any brand of unicycle (Hunter, Nimbus, etc) that comes with dedicated four-bolt Magura mounts that look like this: http://www.inspiredbicycles.com/imag...own-mounts.jpg
You will need Magura four bolt mounts like this (I have a few sets of these too): http://www.unicycle.com/unicycle-har...-brackets.html
You will also need a place to mount your brake lever under the saddle like this: http://www.unicycle.com/unicycle-har...yle-seats.html

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING:
Paypal works best for me, but money orders are also ok. My paypal address is: uniflasher@hotmail.com. Shipping will be $8 for USPS Priority Mail shipping in the US (2-3 days) and $13 for first class shipping to Canada (7-9 days). I ship the day after I receive funds.

BLEEDING / TESTING:
I flush and bleed all brakes with fresh Magura blue blood before I test, pack and ship your brake. Bleeding hydraulic brakes is messy and no fun - and so you won’t have to deal with fluid leaks, after I assemble and bleed them with fresh Magura blue blood, I test them all for leaks by putting the wheel cylinders into a custom test jig that I made. There, I’ll cycle the brake pistons under full power to check for proper function and leaks without having to bolt them up to a unicycle frame.

MORE BRAKES AND PARTS:
E-mail me if you want something different or digital pictures of something in particular. I also have a good selection of less expensive nice used HS33 and HS22 brakes and several of my HS33/HS22 hybrid "franken-brakes" for 36” wheels too.

BTW, I also have these available separately:

* New Magura four bolt mounts with stainless hardware are $20/per wheel
* Magura rim brake bleed kits are $22

Well, I've put on a lot of weight lately and that device connects to a brace that supports my protruding beer (and do-nut) gut from additional trauma from big drops . . . . . . Ok. no. Its really to brace this distance barset with aero bars- so its nice and stiff for century rides:

Bryce,
I just took out my KH 26 with the new brake you sent me. Woo Hoo! Had my best muni ride ever. Finally, I can ride these steep twisty trails with the right set up.
Thanks for your brake nerdery. I'm sure all of your other customers share this appreciation.
That makes me a twice-satisfied customer.

Geoff

Lucky find

Good news: I came across another couple of sets of black and gold HS33 Olympias. They are in similar condition to the ones shown in the first picture in this post.

ahhh, if these didn't cost the same as brand new 2011 HS33s in the UK then I'd be tempted...

AAARRRRGGGHHHH, I just haven't been able to make the new style 2011 HS33's behave on my unicycle . . . I'm just not a fan of the operation of that new lever design, short or long lever blade. It might be ok for trials biking, but under the unicycle saddle, I just didn't like the way the lever blade position adjustment worked and the TPA on mine was all but inoperable.

So I think I'll stick to the workhorse that the 2004 and 2005-2010 HS33's are for unicycling.

Cheers, Brycer
