Summer 2011 Unicycle Venture

So, I am working on plans to take a trip next summer. I would like to go around the country and find every unicyclist I can. I would love to meet people, unicycle with them, and find out what everyone is all about. I think it would be cool to see where people unicycle, find out why they unicycle, everything.
I think it would be cool to make a couple videos. One of course just of people unicycling just like we would normally have as well as possibly a couple of documentory type videos. One to show to unicyclists just beacause I know I would like to see something like that. As well as a video for non unicyclists, to show them who we are, what we can do, and why we are the way we are etc(got the idea from wathching the univision).
I dont have many details hammered out or anything. But its an idea.

I was really wondering who would be interested in this venture. Maybe if you would like to meet other people who unicycle or would like to see something like this.
Obviously its a ways off so Im just kind of looking for a general idea, but would there be people that would want unicyclists to stop through there town and unicycle with them? Would there be people able to provide somewhere to sleep(help keeps costs down from hotels as well as keep me from sleeping in a car). Would there be anyone that would like to hop in the car(if there are enough people interested, possibly a bus or something) and go on the venture as well, either for the whole trip or just part of it.
The last step on this I would hope could be set up to end at NAUCC '11 do some videos there, and of course participate.

Like I said, its just a basic idea for now. Im looking for other ideas to go with this as well as like I said, people that might be interested in participation of this.
Any feedback on this would be awesome.

The trip you are planning sounds amazing.

I wouldn't be able to go on the entire thing, but I would love to ride with you if you accidentally find yourself in Nevada.

Also, if you stop in Lake Tahoe, I may have some arrangements for you at my uncle's rental house.

The idea is to go anywhere that a unicyclist is and would like me to go. The goal is to meet as many of you as I can. Ride with as many of you as I can. The big goal would be to hopefully make a route that I can follow and not stop meeting unicyclists. If there was someone in every state that would be into this, I would try to drive the whole country over the summer.

As for not taking the whole trip, that is alright. I would be alright taking some people on in one place and dropping them off another(say to fly home or something).

If you decide to do this please let me know (when the time comes). There are people on the Seattle Area Unicycle Riders (SARS/SAURS) listserv that are always up for a ride, and some have extra sleeping space too!

There are alot of riders in Montreal (like Hugo Duguay, Emile, I could go in montreal too, etc) But I dont know if you're just going around the US or you might get a little bit in Canada for riding. The duty might be a little more complicated and it will cost more probably.

I live right below Tahoe, in the Carson Valley, in Nevada, and if you come here, I have three or four unicyclists who would also ride with us.

I hadnt put any thought into canada, but as of now I think that would be a great idea.

As for everyone else, thank you for the feedback. Im glad to see there is at least a little bit of interest in this so far. I appreciate people putting thier locations in as well, it helps for seeing how things might work.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts for those I wouldnt mind hearing those as well.
