I would like to complete a metric century. I'm not sure if I can find enough time to train for a full 100 miles (I only ride occasionally).

Goals:
1. Have fun, keep riding. 2. Don't get hurt. 3. Get... Better? What, I'm the only one without specific goals? |

Great topic since the weather turned warm here this week.
Mine are similar to the OP's goals, except for the one footed stuff. I want to improve idling to where it is solid on both sides and then riding backwards. (those were my goals when I decided to start riding a uni after a 25 year break.) The already mentioned hop and drop for riding light Muni. Did I mention starting to do some muni rides??? To that I have added riding my age on my 29". I will shoot for November which is when my birthday is. That will be 54 or 55 miles depending on which side of my Birthday I make it. Is that reasonable, from 2 miles (today) to 55 miles in eight months? I can ride just about every day. The miles will be relatively flat. Either on the Sacramento River bike path or the Los Angeles Beach Bike path. Max, you are right, 'goals' is such an ugly term for somehting as cool and god like as riding a uni. Mine are things I want to accomplish someday. Hows that? Better? |

After I regain lost ground from over the winter (which I am almost done with) I am going to have to decide whether to really work on wheelwalking or a unispin 180. I doubt I'll be able to get both in Any ideas on which one is easier or I should learn first? I also have to get used to riding with one foot on my new uni.

I'd love to join you for that if I can. We could tack on a mile and ride my age too!
![]() If we're ever on the same group ride I'm sure I could get you going with that. Or others in the area if you join them for one of the rides (I'm an occasional participant). My own goals?

I think I have decided to work on wheel walking.
And now that I remember, I really have to learn how to juggle on my unicycle. I'm good with a 3 ball cascade, but can't seem to get it on my unicycle. Just can't keep my balance while flailing my arms. I have managed to make a couple catches while slowly going forward, but my goal is to do it while idling and to make it look as easy as possible. Any tips or a link to a helpful post would be greatly appreciated.
