Unicycles, Computer, clothes, furniture, pay off debt, charity, etc....
![]() (I really need a new bed, and I've been researching mattress brands and types, and the choices are mind bogglingly confusing! From sealy to serta, simmons, then the sleep number and temperpedic in the $5k-10k range! And reading the countless reviews there seem to be countless negatives on *every* brand, with complaints like Sit 'n sleep REselling used beds as new!)

I agree with that in a lot of ways. I totally hate clutter, and when I can't stand it any longer, I sometimes bring the trash dumpster inside and just start throwing stuff away! Unless it's clothes or other things that could be of benefit to someone, in which case I take it to the salvation army.
But I really hate just having a lot of stuff. I just sold my grand piano that I had for many years, and now I have this large area of reclaimed space! I love this open space so much, I have no plans to "fill it" with anything else! I never want to become a "pack rat"! The simpler, the better as far as I'm concerned!

I'd probably backpack around the world (starting in Europe and going east), spending as little as possible and soaking up experiences. I don't know how far it would take me, but it would be fun
![]() To make my trip longer, I'd blow my current savings on top of the $5000

Let's see...
Mediocre Coker (not one of those cheap chinese brands that falls apart but not a KH 36 either) Video Camera Cheap Giraffe (Torker TX I think is the name) and save the rest for broken parts/plane tickets.

I'd definitely love to unicycle in certain areas, but in a way I think a unicycle would limit where I could go. I'd always be worrying to make sure it's safe and figuring out how to transport it easily could get tricky. I'd want to be completely free. Oh well, I'll worry about this when the $5000 shows up

Buy a schlumpf for your Muni terry! I made that investment last year and it has given me so much pleasure and opened new doors for challenges on the Muni. There is absolutely nothing like hitting a technical section of single track in high gear and just blasting it. With the amount of riding you do i think you would definitely get your moneys worth.

I'd use the whole thing to pay off part of the credit card after our NZ trip.
Or to get something nice for my Jacquie. But If I only think in terms of toys:

I will pay a skilled mechanic to build the very-special-geared-steampunkified-uni I dream of : a silver and gold 36 with lots of big gears that would make it look like a steam engine (and a small amount to have a tailor sew fancy clothes to that I can ride in accordance with the style of the aforementioned Unique UNI + a helmet with fancy sculptures).
(edit: in fact my problem is to find those skilled handymen!)

Actually we are thinking about it, my sister in law lives just beneath Ax Les Thermes, so we wouldn't have to worry for the lodging...
But with the kids, we have to be ready to spend almost 500 € (ski locations, daycare, ski lessons for my 5 y/o boy, ski pass...) just to ski during 3 days. We're still wondering if it's worth the cash ![]() I should have skied more when I was a kid, living in a ski resort for 6 years
