I'm not sure if I'll have time tomorrow. I can do it for sure on Wednesday if no one else has done it before then.
First come, first served if anyone wants to go ahead and set before then. Don't forget it has to be done up something or down something. |

And here it is.
![]() Pedalgrab-flip. You can do it seat-in or seat-out. You can flip forwards or backwards. And any size obstacle is fine, as long as the wheel doesn't touch the ground. It does have to be a pedal grab and not a crank grab. You have to land it by 23:59 in your time zone on Wednesday 2/24. Trick 1: Pedalgrab-flip, set by tmoyer Trick 2: will be set on 2/25 _ _ _ Tmoyer _ _ _ Julia _ _ _ An)-On _ _ _ gnomerider _ _ _ 96erik _ _ _ Joscha _ _ _ Unisykolist Last edited by tmoyer; 2010-02-18 at 01:04 AM. |

Bump. Just making sure people noticed that a trick was set.
This seems much easier to me than a regular crankflip, but I'm not sure how hard it would be to learn if you couldn't flip yet. |

Do you grab back foot or front foot?
Practice it out of a crankgrab first, cause you can set up and be stable while you think about how to launch. Swing the uni up just like you regularly go to rubber, but leaving your free foot off the pedal. At first just swing up and jump, trying to get the full flip but keeping your feet away from the pedals on the landing. When you can get the full flip easily, then focus on landing the feet on the pedals. It was easier for me to learn it seat-out, but that might just be me. |

Yeah - if you grab back foot it'll be a backflip (or a back rev). It's not necessarily harder because just pulling up on the uni naturally starts the flip going. You don't really need to learn a backflip first.
Personally, I think the back foot flip looks better. See Christian Huriwai here at 1:01. I need to learn it seat in and riding out of it like this. Last edited by tmoyer; 2010-02-21 at 04:04 AM. |
