If you are so keen to prove god exists...

I mean i could say that there is an invisible pink unicorn that no one can see or know of it's existence in anyway and you couldn't prove me wrong. It's the same with you trying to prove that god exists... Lucky for the rest of us science we KNOW does exist.

But it's not the same. Implicit in the term "unicorn" is the property of being finite, whereas the term "god" generally implies being infinite. You're comparing apples and oranges.

Most religious practitioners have no more Faith than one spouse has for the other spouse.

I can imagine religion without Faith; just look at Raphael and the UU, he teaches religious instruction

There's a wide variety of ways people practice religion, from the Fundamentalists to the Mystics representing opposite ends of the spectrum, just like with Science.

By that I mean that a finding that occurs with a probability of less than .05 (in the social sciences) or .01 (in the hard sciences) represents Truth for the Fundamentalist, whereas the Scientific Mystic seeks a broader Truth.

Thanks for pointing out another way problems are caused by people's Faith in Science!
