Well the easy stuff is just hard packed dirt covered in very tiny pebbles. You should go to the nearest place with dirt and try it! The first time I tried it, it was pretty hard. After about 2 hours, I had it down to where I could ride over most surfaces, as long as it was flat. If you practice, I'm sure you'd get it fast enough to come on the ride with us.

Thread jack: Jamey-you should post some uni pix from down under!

After knee surgery, I have just gotten the go ahead to ride again. Going to start slow on two wheels. I hope to be able to make this Muni ride.

And Terry, what's the point of started 3 hours early. You really aren't that slow.

Haha. No it's just to start before it gets so hot. You know that by now lol. Just like today, I got up at 6am, got to the trail about 7 and finished by 9:30 when it was still only about 68 degrees, but by 11am the forecast said it would be in the low 80's!

Hey Jim - if you want some company on the two wheel side let me know - I am always up for Whiting or Luge or Aliso.

Cool, I am going to start on the road first and see how it is. But the MTB will be next!

Would post some but believe it or not, the only unicycling I've been doing is street performing! I've only done one fun ride since I've been here and that was earlier today and dang it was fun. Met up with some locals on a cool 10km loop. It's been way too long and I was starting to forget why I love unicycling so much. But that re-affirmed it. And of course all three batteries to my camera were dead! :0 Hope to see you at this even if your knee is better!!

It's great to hear that so many of you are plannng on coming!

I'm creating a photo album right now but it's taking a really long time and I have to leave for school so if you want you can go to my photo albums and see if the pictures have shown up yet. I took a bunch of pictures of the kinds of things we'll be riding so you can get an idea of it. So go check 'em out! If they're not up yet, you might have to wait a while. The upload process is really slow.

Just post them here or at photobucket and link it. It's the best for posting pics and fast!

I decided to wait until later in the year to take it. now the only problem is i have gate testing on that day. I don't know if i want to be tested. I don't have to. I probably won't and come to the ride instead.
