Like carrying coals to newcastle

Bee in your bonnet

Kit and caboodle

Sunday go to meetin'

Too many irons in the fire

Tuckered out

I'm no spring chicken

Pot Calling the Kettle Black

mind your p's & q's

By the skin of your teeth

The peanut gallery

Doesn't make sense because they should be saying, "I could not care less." A little pet peeve of mine.
Well actually " I could care less" is supposed to be said sarcastically. In that way it makes sense.

Many of these still make sense, like skin of your teeth and p's a q's. They only become obsolete when what you are talking about becomes rare - like kettles, peanut galleries, or bonnets.

Till/When the cows come home.
