The LX is a great cruiser unicycle. It can take some damage, and it quality is high enough to provide a smooth ride and a long lasting unicycle. Once you are comfy with the cranks on you LX, try some shorter ones and see if you like those better. Shorter cranks allow you to speed around faster. Just dont go too extreme.

Search this site, and youll find tips on pretty much ever trick there is. Unicyclist.org is probably one of the best sites for freestlye tricks.

Your cx may hold for beginners tricks, but when you excel, you will quickly outgrow that, and moving to a splined setup wouldnt hurt then.

The LX uses a different style of bolting then than what is common for today. The miyata 4-bolt seatpost. You are limited to LX seats and Miyata seats, which are pretty much the same thing.

If you wanted to, buying a new seat post and a new set would work, but, luckily, the LX seat cover is held on by clamps, that can easily be pulled loose, and you can slip the cover on and off, to modify the foam, or remove the foam and change the seat into an airseat. Many guides on how to make an airseat and other seat mods. I dont have the links but a search here will bring up a lot of them.
