I created a Facebook account so I could reply to an email from Johnny Lone Star, one of the finalists from the America's Got Talent TV show last year. He used to be in my unicycle club and we played basketball and sumo together.
But I don't use Facebook (or any of the other social networking sites, unless this counts as one). Later I started getting an increasing number of requests for me to add other people I know, mostly unicyclists, which I did, but I still never used the site. So in an effort to not mislead people by adding them, since I didn't plan on using it, I closed my Facebook account.
