This may actually be the first presidential race with votes decided by the little head.

Joe Sixpack for President!!

Do you really think Joe Sixpack should be the president? Or that it should be possible for him to become president. That's two different things. Palin seems to promote the idea that anyone could be president. So does Harper BTW, and to an extent both are right. But I'd rather believe that a Sarah Palin or a Joe Sixpack *have the chance to become President,* someday, than to be worthy of it right now.

Also I don't have a problem with lots of money being spent on a candidate's wardrobe. It occurred to me that Palin was wearing very fashionable stuff, and it couldn't be cheap. Since her looks seem to be a large part of her appeal, having her look as good as possible makes perfect sense.

I think Sarah is aware, as am I, that article two puts three limitations on who can be president. By the way, did you know that I also am a maverick?

Your literalism, Greg, bears a striking similarity to Billy's ramblings.

I continue to be cautiously optimistic about Tuesday, but nervous nonetheless.

For the time being I'll let others discuss Palin. McCain camp trying to scapegoat Palin

I'm putting my money on McCain over Palin. I don't think she's going to do better than VP this time around.

As for next time, for an American public that was dumb enough to vote for George W. Bush a second time, I'll believe anything.

No kidding about being ready for this to be over. It seems like this campaign has been going on for two years! Oh no wonder. It has.

Billy, this is a family forum. I know you think she's hot but try to contain yourself.

Well, as we move - happily - towards the end of the Bush administration and the beginning of the Obama administration, some things just wont die.

And who would have thought I'd be defending Sarah Palin? I have no idea whether any of the things she's being accused of while campaigning are true. But I completely agree with her that anonymous accusations should be taken as suspect and unless some is willing to come forward, be named, and provide proof, the whole matter should be dropped.

Palin denounces anonymous critics as 'cowardly'.

This is a disgusting emotional display especially coming from you. I ask again, no, I demand to know where is the hate and where is the fear.

From the article:

"This is Barack Obama's time right now, and this is an historic moment in our nation and this can be a shining moment for America and our history, and look what we're talking about. Again, we're talking about my shoes and belts and skirts. It's ridiculous."

What a completely self-centered display of arrogance. Take it back up a notch, Raphael. A post like this belongs in the Joe Biden thread. Honestly, if I can no longer depend on you do you think steveyo and maestro8 will take up the slack?

Greg, I deliberately left certain details out of my comments in order to make this about decency and intellectual honesty. If you'd be willing to grovel, and I mean grovel, capital G, I might be willing to go off on a hateful, bitter, and irrelevant tangent.
