Yes there are.

There are 3 types of lizards found in the UK:

1. common lizard
2. slow-worm
3. sand lizard (which is endangered).

We used to get lots of lizards in the garden of my old house. Thier tails came off very easily.

ah I stand corrected, although how the slow-worm gets counted as a lizard I don't know

Caught another garter snake at thye same trail yesterday! I would never have seen it if I hadn't taken this detour and dropped off a 3' ledge. I landed it, and as I was riding away, there it was just sunning itself. I grabbed it, and it once again gave off this god-awful stench that says, "I won't taste very good, trust me!" So I took it off the trail and let it go!

not on this island

No snakes. No poisonious plants. No bears, wolves, or big cats. No Lightning!!. Just awesome mountains with single tracks.

You can get geckos, pigs, mushrooms and centipedes.

I was on my fav road ride when I saw three not so little pigs.
The oinkers like to cross the road from the mountainside into a botanical garden thinking it's greener. Then I came. Two pigs darted out quite quick to get to the ''mountain side'' of the road. They were about 25 feet in front of me. I'm glad they were scared of me because they ran so fast I wouldn't have time to react.
The 3rd piggy ran in the bushes about 100 feet until crossing over the road to the "safer" home side.

I like it. I said, '' hi piggies, piggies''. They did in fact oinked all the way.

Caught this good sized Alligator Lizard while it was sunning himself smack dab on the trail; almost ran him over! He wasn't too thrilled to be picked up, but he would be if he knew that I probably saved him from being road kill! I let him scamper off, deep into the safety of the brush after theses shots.
