1. I can only buy my camcoder from www.futureshop.com since I got gift card from there.

2. Saving up to 400$ would take one more year

3. Since the last camcoder you shown isn't availible at futureshop, I can't get it.

Is there anywhere to get these programs a bit cheaper? What would be a $100~ editing program for the total noob?

Try Ebay. Sometimes people buy a bunch of copies when they first come out and sell them on Ebay. My aunt bought a few copies of photoshop like this and it was never used, had all the paperwork and she was able to register it and everything....

currently i'm using a $100 nikon L14 digital camera that records VGA quality (640x480 @ 30fps) i don't want anything better really, the lines i get from top to bottom could go, but they aren't bad enough to spend 3-5 times the amount and get a slightly better video camera... and have to haul it around

no tripod

windows movie maker

yeah
you don't need a video editing program, though it would be nice... reallly nice.

Pinnacle Studio plus or ultimate would be better than WMM but still not as good as some other, but you can get them from Bestbuy or Futureshop for under $100.

I would not call that a video production machine. But hey they are cheap and better then most PCs. You may have issues when you want to upgrade.

Guys can we stop flaunting our HardDrive space. Yes you need a bunch for filmmaking but it has no real value. Its like saying I have the biggest shoes size, 13, I can fit alot of feet in there. Brands of externals is of some use. I also use LACIE.

I guess I should have put in some pictures of my stuff before.

I use adobe premiere pro and I like it a lot. I also use Adobe photoshop, and can create some really nice things to use for my videos. I need to get after effects and maybe another program so i can really get creative with editing videos.

Adobe does take a little bit to learn, but its no big deal with all the guides on the internet.

You can also try the 30-day trial from their website to mess with it, or download it from the link I gave.
