Smoking Poll
This new thread about smoking http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65618
has made me curious about the smoking/ nonsmoking habits of our community. As a reformed smoker myself, I understand the difficulties of trying to quit. Quitting was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But smokefree for 20 years, ... life is better. I encourage nonsmokers to never try it; reformed smokers to remember that for many of us doom is only one cig away; smokers to do whatever necessary to break the habit and kill the cycle to the next generation. |

I indicated that I currently smoke, but have to point out that my smoking is rather limited: I have three or four cigars per month at most. I tried cigarettes at two different points during childhood due to peer pressure and couldn't stand it, so I've never been a cigarette smoker.
(that last statement could be taken as false if we include the four packs of Lucky Strike secondhand smoke I got daily all through my childhood from my parents) Last edited by idiorythmic; 2007-11-11 at 04:07 PM. |

I'm a reformed smoker myself. Gave up 9 years ago. I still want a ciggy sometimes.
