Hellgate: London has a Giraffe Unicycle in it!

So I got the Hellgate: London BETA right now from a friend who doesn't have a decent internet connection to play it.

I was playing, running through the streets of London slicing and dicing some monsters into little chunks of meat, when I noticed... A Giraffe Unicycle! I thought... whoa that is weird....

I spent about 5 minutes trying to take a screenshot of it... to no avail...

They lock out any type of screenshot you can think of, No Print Screen, No Fraps... No Window mode and Print Screen either because the game window turns into a shield of honor kind of thing so you can't see what's happening.

So... I took a picture... and I don't have any good batteries for my camera... so I couldn't go into the options to change the flash off to get the picture because it would just shut off...

So here is a really bad picture of Hellgate: London showing a Giraffe Unicycle.

Unfortunately you can't ride it, or nock it over... or move it in any way... it also has quite the insane gear ratio going on.

According to flickr, if you wander near Covent Garden in London it's quite common to see a giraffe unicycle chained to a post.

Here are just two examples.

This is also true according to my dad, who ocassionally wanders through that way on business.

Well, Hellgate is much better than WoW from what I have player, but not quite as good as Diablo II.

When you get into a large battle, it seems that you can easily get stuck in the middle of 15+ or so monster pretty easily and get gang raped...

I've only played a Guardian so far, level 14, with some pretty decent items.

The appearance of the characters is quite fun to play with, more so than WoW, the weapons and armour just look so much better, more like Diablo II than some fantasy cartoon crap.

Some flying monsters are a real pain in the ass... They attack you, then fly away out of range from your sword... it's just irritating sometimes.

The item qualities are interesting, Normal, Magic, Enhanced, Legendary, Unique, not sure of the order... but I think I have found every level of item in my 10 or so hours of gameplay.

This is the first game I have played for more than an hour of so at a time in the last 6 or so months.

The game runs great on my computer, always 45+ FPS, I turned the Texture detail to Medium though, everything else is maxed. I did this because the load times were unreasonable when going through to other Train Stations.. roughly 2 minutes... now they're down to about 15 seconds and the game doesn't look any worse oddly enough...

I run the game at 1680x1050 4xFSAA 8xAF, max details except for Medium Texture Quality.

Computer specs are as follows.

AMD Opteron 146 @ 2.8ghz
1gb RAM
DFI LanParty NF4 SLi-D
Sapphire Radeon X800GTO^2 (Unlocked and overclocked 600/600 higher than X850XT PE)
Seagate 7200.10 320gb SATA HDD
BenQ FP202W V2
