I had my first long 29er ride tonight probably around 6 miles around town. I got it last night and got it all set up.
I am in love i think this is about the perfect wheel size nimble and fun plus fast. i finally know what the corker riders where talking about how turns carry you through

Im going to need to go for a ride today, I think I want to buy a T7 handle.
I was also thinking of a brake? But ive got a Bedford frame....so it doesnt have braking hardware...So could I but like mounts to put on my Bedford frame, or is that not possible? Isaac |

T7 and Brake on Bedford
T7 is great, for me it was the single biggest improvement on my 29er.
Mind you the KH Freeride seat came with the unicycle, so it doesn't count. Otherwise, I'd say KH Freeride fusion seat would be single greatest improvement. Brake's can be done but expensive to do. For me brakes only come in handy on long downhill descents; otherwise, they just look goofy and add weight. If I planned on doing the RTL on my 29" then they'd be on right now! Skip the brakes and try some good snafu pedals instead. The extra grip on the pedals really help out on the commutes. If I had to rank improvements they'd be in this order: 1) KH Freeride fusion seat 2) T7 Bar 3) Snafu pedals My 2 cents. |

Okay first off I love my KH Fusion saddle, and I would never replace it. Second I actually think Snafus have too much grip and I perfer my Wellgos plastics because they are lighter and better grip IMO. And the T7 I wont have for a while because I different things I want to buy for unis right now. And the brake thing, I already have 2 Maguras. All I need is mounting hardware.Isaac |

After having a 20", a 24", a 26" and a 36"... I have now set my sights on a 29".
My favourite of all the previous was by far the Nimbus 36 with the T7 handle w/ 125 cranks. Going on long rides was awesome, but now and then I just wanted to go down the block to the shop and pulling out the 36" turned into an ordeal... and cramming it into a trunk was a hassle. It ended up just living in a corner of my room so I let it go. I can ride pretty fast, on a 26" with 125 I could get good speed... and on the 36" with 125s I would fly... so I think with the 29" with 125 or smaller I should be able to get my speed fix, as well as easier stop and starts in the city. One time on my 36" I almost seriously creamed a small child. Riding along the beach path a little kid ran out in front of me... I knew dismounting to the rear would shoot the uni out in front of me and hit the kid, dismounting to the front I'd probably land on the kid and the uni might hit someone behind me... so I jerked hard to the side and I crumbled down ontop of it... by inches I miss the kid and came away with pedal gash on the back of my leg. Maybe if I had had a brake I could have avoided it, you lose a lot of control when you have a big wheel and smaller cranks. Before I bought the 36" I was torn between whether or not to get a 29... I bet if I had bought the 29" I'd probably now be wanting to try the 36". Not to nay-say against a 36", they're awesome and with time you could get used to doing everything on it (quick mounts, dismounts, starts, stops, hops, drops, idles, whatever...) but I think a 29" would better suit me... short or distance rides, taking it on the subway, city riding- traffic, lights, sidewalks, storage space, pedestrians... and picking up chicks. I mean, how many times do girls say ooo let me try! Its just about impossible to get someone up to even sit on a 36". So now I'm in the 'which 29 to get' phase. My first thought was the torker, for the price... and that sleek black color. Then the nimbus, I've been reading good reviews. Then we have the KH, I'm sure its great and all but thats some serious pocket. |

The KH is very nice, but you don't really need it if you're not going to MUni with it. Really, if you want a speed fix, you should get the Schlumpf, but that's even more expensive.
I don't know of much difference between the Torker, Nimbus, or YUni. They're all pretty decent. I seem to remember that some really like the Nimbus for its wide rim, which typically makes the wheel handle better. Make sure you get some nice short cranks (110s and less) to go with it too! BTW, a brake probably wouldn't have helped in your near accident. A brake is really only effective on a unicycle when you're planning to slow down. |

No disrespect, but I do wonder why you one-foot some of the way on that video. For me 29ers are good to go places, so does one-footing a 29er actually have a purpose, or was it just showing off?

Though when I go one footed, specially at a medium-fast pace, it feels smoother, but this is on a KH20. |
