The first thing that came to mind was American Pie. Maybe not my favorite but the most memorable.

Too many to list, and many of the ones already listed, but here are a few that come to mind at the moment:
China Cat Sunflower - Grateful Dead ^ has been stuck in my head for the past 3 days, not that i'm complaining. Song to see you through, Spirit, Eyes of Silver, Tell me what you want, etc. - Doobie Brothers too many to list - The Doors Tears in Heaven, Running on Faith, Lonely Stranger, and more - Eric Clapton a bunch of other 'dead songs. Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, Light Up or Leave Me Alone, Many a Mile to Freedom - Traffic (anything with Joe Walsh or Steve Winwood is great) Thick as a brick (all 43:42), Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, many more - Jethro Tull Neil Diamond, Dire Straits, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Jefferson Airplane, I could go on and on and on.
