I just got done reading through this thread. This is a fun thread, I kind of like it. I do tend to dislike having to read through a post a decipher it ass I go, but it doesn't get on my nerves just yet. I've never been drunk, never touched a drug (unless it was a prescription and I was supposed to take it or something like that) I think I liked it when 'English class' actually taught you english, way back in elementary school, now all they do is make you read old boring books and make you write essays. Then when you screw somehing up on the essay they get mad at you and say "WHAT DID THEY TEACH YOU IN ENGLISH CLASS LAST YEAR AND ALL THE OTHER YEARS BEFORE THAT!!" After they say that they don't even try to teach you anything about english they just get mad. I won't pretend I post flawlessly or with perfect grammar, but I tend to try harder than the rest of the people I know at school and such. well that's my long post in this thread.

Speaking of teachers making you read old, long, (sometimes) boring books; In my 10th grade english class, my teacher used to have us write "As close to 7 pages as you can, to be turned in by the end of this class period" about the iambic pentameter and etcetera of a soliloquy from Hamlet, Othello, or Dante's Inferno. Any page less than 7 was an automatic 10-or-so-point deduction from your assignment grade, and you only had 100 minutes of class time to do it.

You made damn sure that you knew what you were talking about, how to talk about it, and that you wrote as fast as you could, legibly.

There was no time for horseplay or side-talk if you wanted to get your assignment done, but the teacher wouldn't say anything if you didn't do it. Your grade would just suffer and you would learn the hard way .

I mention 10th grade because it was the last grade that I took an actual Language Arts/English class. In 11th and 12th grades I took English Composition 1 and 2 (which are Gordon Rule classes) at the community college.

You know what bothers me?

Reading old emails/messages that I've had archived in gmail for over a year...it makes me sick.

It's not the spelling/punctuation that does it, but the content. They way I was so "pussy-whipped", for lack of better term , is just...sickening.

WTF, I need to delete this shit.

When I can't go out for a bike ride because a lot of family is here for Mother's Day. Yes, I said bike. My unicycle is at home, and I'm on the other coast in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Port Charlotte area until later tonight.

Maybe it's just things that are going on in my life right now that are causing me stress, but sometimes (especially lately) I read a post and it just _sounds_ immature. It's not until I check their posted age that I make judgement as to whether or not they actually *are* prepubescent, or if they're just acting in such a way.
