I took the T7 handle off my 29er today.

I most often rode it with one hand on the handle and one hand free for balance. I did on occasion manage to ride with both hands on the handle but I never did get real comfortable with that. I am not out to set any speed or distance records, I just like to ride around the neighborhood.

Things I did not like about it:
1) If I tilted the seat up, the handle was in my way when I mounted,
2) If I tilted the seat down, I had to lean forward to hold the handle,
3) If I got into a situation where I had to use both hands to flail and get my balance, the weight of the handle made the unicycle more difficult to control.

Took me quite a long frustrating time to figure out how best to mount the thing. I have the seat tilted up for comfort, which also puts the handles easily in reach. With a bit of practice, I found the best way to mount was to hold one of the T7 "horns" with my preferred hand and otherwise mount normally. It changed the balance relative to holding the seat handle but I quickly got used to it.

Do you have another uni to put it on? I've been using one on my 36er, haven't got around to trying it on a 29er yet... The extra weight probably makes less difference to the handling etc on 36", since the machine is sooooooooo much heavier anyhow. Possibly the extra stability might make it easier to ride with both hands on the bars... I usually ride with one hand free in case I need it for balance.
