I took the T7 handle off my 29er today.
I most often rode it with one hand on the handle and one hand free for balance. I did on occasion manage to ride with both hands on the handle but I never did get real comfortable with that. I am not out to set any speed or distance records, I just like to ride around the neighborhood. Things I did not like about it: 1) If I tilted the seat up, the handle was in my way when I mounted, 2) If I tilted the seat down, I had to lean forward to hold the handle, 3) If I got into a situation where I had to use both hands to flail and get my balance, the weight of the handle made the unicycle more difficult to control.
