the lx/ax cranks are quite different from the cx. the lx and ax unis are really pretty good for the money. many components are shared between the two. just keep in mind you get what you pay for. in my opinion, the lx unis are as good or better than anything you can get up to around $200. especially w/ the exellent warranty

UDC says it's the Suzue 48-hole High-Flange Cotterless Hub and Axle Assembly.

I got an ax 29 this week

A couple of things I learned.

A KH seat post will fit an ax 29 perfectly, despite being listed on UDC as being different sizes.

This is a good thing to know if you are going to order a KH free ride seat for your ax. You can't put a KH seat on a Torker LX or AX seat post, they have different bolt patterns. You must get a KH post for your KH seat. The stock ax seat looks good, but feels bad.

The tire has a weird bike type air valve in the tube. I had to go to the LBS and get an adapter ( $ 1.60) before I could put air in it.

Overall I like the thing. It's very light, I can bungie it to the side of my motorcycle.

That is interesting, since the main reason I didn't get the AX, was that I wanted to use the KH seat, and thought that adapting things would become too sloppy. Thank you feel the light.

That funny valve is called a presta valve... the "normal" other kind is called a schrader valve. Presta valves are used a lot on road bike and high end mtb.

Which seat post and saddle did you get to fit?

Anyone have any ideas on how to mount a brake to an AX? The frame is oval shaped. I was thinking those hose clamp mouting brackets on unicycle dot com.

I Bought the Torker 29" AX on ebay $169.00

I bought from the bicycle source on Ebay for $169.00, shipping was $29.00 and it arrived in 3days.
I will be upgrading the seat and just ordered the Big Apple tire.

My only complaint is the seatpost tube was not honed out all the way so the post would not go in the last 3".

I think it is a great deal anyway as a starter 29".
