Now that Defect is available on Google video, Myspace and Facebook users are able to embed the video on their pages... so the "stolen" video is now appearing on more sites than Google.
See, for example: http://www.myspace.com/unicycleclub http://www.myspace.com/uni4god

Use CC music and sell me a download of Defect
I would also prefer to purchase a digital copy of Defect and other unifilms, since I consider physical disks and plastic cases a waste of space and resources.
I respect copyright to the best of my knowledge, which means to me that I won't watch unifilms that violate copyright. That doesn't leave many. But, there are large collections of creative commons or other open license released music available. For some examples see http://legaltorrents.com/ or the CChits group ( http://www.last.fm/group/CCHits/connections ) or purchase an inexpensive license to use some of the music from http://www.magnatune.com/ (Brad Sucks is awesome).

Thanks everybody for your comments and support.
I've mailed a letter to Google and hopefully the videos will be removed soon. I thought about selling digital copies of Defect, but couldn't find a good outlet to do so. There was a website that offered this service, but the fees and their rake of the purchase price was way too high. I'm not too up to date on things with the internet though, so if anybody has any ideas or suggestions on a good way to do this, please let me know. Thanks, -Dan |
