My t2 Died!

The digitizer on my Tungsten T2 finally completely died on me. I think I am going to sell it on e-bay for parts.

Any suggestions on a good pda to replace my T2? I don't think I am going to be getting anything from Palm this time. I also am not into the smart phones like the Treo. I'd rather have a dedicated pda.

So, what are you using and what would you suggest?

LOL, only problem is it would take some time to manually enter 800 addresses and I am not sure how I could back it up. Maybe with copy machine?

I'm sticking with Palm OS until the bitter end... I've never seen anything the Windows PocketPC does that palm doesn't do faster, better, and more reliably. And yes, I'm biased

It seems that all Linux lovers are also Palm lovers. Am I right? The problem is I use Windows and Outlook so it just seems to make sense to have something that would be a little more compatible. It also seems to me that there is more software coming out for Pocket Pc these days then there is for Palm OS.

I've never tried Palm but I've been a dedicated Pocket PC user since I ditched my Psion. I'm afraid I'm boring and bog standard and have an iPaQ. My machine of choice is a hx 2410. I like having both CF and SD slots and I use bluetooth a lot. I've always been totally satisfied with my machine and I haven't seen any of the new machines that I would want to upgrade to. (I had the older 2410 before that).

Wow. You have more friends than i do...

My cell phone has only 32 entries... and it's padded. I put some people I don't want to hear from on there so if they do call, I know not to answer. lol

I think it's more that I got my first PDA when Windows CE was by far inferior to Palm... So the few bits of software that I used then I kept when I upgraded. On the whole though, the software issue doesn't bother me, because Palm still has a 5hit-ton of apps, and my killer app is an ebook reader anyways (Weasel

) I tend to use my Palm as scrap paper, an address book, and an e-reader mostly. And since I avoid Outlook like the plague, and actually don't use an address book on my computers, it's not a big deal to me

I may be swayed back to Palm OS after all. A friend of mine, who is also a Linux user introduced me to the Palm TX.

Anyone have any experience with the TX?

Thanks for your compliments. Yes, AFTER I finished school I learned what I did'nt want to become. And so for 10 years I now make a living out of unicycling. So yes, for unicycling I got paid, and so as well for giving away coffee and pizza and making people happy. There's worser jobs than that.
