Yes it's an injury that can happen.

One solution is to put acorn nuts over all of the bolts under the seat.

You may have popped the top off the acorn nut. You can only screw them on so far till the end of the bolt pops the end off the acorn nut. When that happens you get a sharp edge of broken metal.

You need to put enough washers under the acorn nut so that the end of the bolt won't pop the top off the acorn nut when it is tightened down.

The KH seats don't come with any washers under the acorn nuts so lots of people are popping the tops of the nuts. Put 1 or 2 or 3 washers under the acorn nuts and you won't have that problem.

Thanks for including that picture in your quote. I very quickly conditioned myself to to close my eyes when clicking on this thread and then using the scroll wheel to scroll down to the bottom of the page so I could avoid looking at that picture again. Now I scroll to the bottom, and what do I see? That picture again.

Now someone is going to make that picture their avatar just to spite me.

I should have phrased that better. My KH seat also came with a washer under each acorn nut. The problem being that the bolts are long so you need more than one washer under the acorn nuts. So you have to add washers.

In any event, it's a problem that many people discover through experience. I pooped the top off a few acorn nuts on my Miyata saddle and then my carbon fiber saddles. Eventually you get smart enough to put a stack of washers under the acorn nuts right from the start.
