Question Trail/Street wheel-size recommendations

I got an okay unicycle "20in" awhile ago which was my first one and now i am looking to buy a new "beefer" unicycle to do some Trailing with and some freestyling.
Since i am new to the sport i was wondering what wheel size you guys would suggest for Trailing/freestyling. I'm guessing staying with a 20inch, but wouldn't a 24inch be better? i dunno...
Feel free to leave some links to unicycles that will be good too.

how much do you want to spend. for trials/ street/ freestyle, a 20" is better.

this is a great uni, what is your price budget?

I know some people who like 24" for street and trials, but freestyle doesn''t work too well on a 24" 24"'s are nice because they are faster, but they will not be as good for technical tricks.

edit: also, put threads like this is Rec.Sport.Unicycling. it will get more replies.

I voted 24'', but I agree with Mornish.

If you want to do more trail riding, I would suggest the 24''.

If you want to do more trick riding and jumps, the 20''.

<$350.00 is about what i am looking at.
I was actually looking at that one you showed me "Nimbus", cause i liked the blue an it looks pretty tuff.
I'm not sure how easy it is to break rim/spokes when doing trails an stuff on a unicycle.
I was wondering if the wheel diameter is moved up to a larger size what effect does that give to riding the unicycle? Does it make it easier to hop over logs or ride faster, etc...?

one of the riders in my uni club is really good, and he has a trials and muni(24"), and he prefers the muni. he can hop higher with it. (he can hop up tables) he doesn't really do technical tricks with it or freestyle. it's mostly preference and what you want to do with it. I would say that you would be better off with a 20".

also, how tall are you?

edit: haha, someone actually agrees with me. cool

you can go faster with a 24", but it will generally lower your hop height because of the bigger wheel and heavier weight. it will make freestyle tricks harder, but if you want to do trail riding(mountain unicycling) it is alot better unless your 5' tall(like me )

breaking spokes is pretty hard on a unicycle, but bent spokes is fairly common. keep your spokes nice and tight and you probably won't have problems.

Cool

I live in the suburbs of Chicago and I am not to interested in longggg rides, but i do have some hills around me that are kind of Steep with interesting things to hop around on and besides liking to do that i want to be able to use the unicycle just outside my house on the street to do some fun stuff on it.
I guess for my cause i am looking at another 20inch uni.

Also how does the small upgrade to a 24inch make for harder technical stuff?

wait, I keep seeing trials and trails being popped up.

Are you interested in doing trails, like muni type riding, or trials, hopping obsticle to obsticle?
