Favorite Web Cams
What are your favorite or most visited web cams?
Where do you go to check out where you'd rather be? I'm currently tracking the snow melt at Stevens Pass and psyching up for one more weekend of skiing at Alpental. On the boring but useful side, I often check Seattle Traffic before heading out of the office. Just found out there is a Rochelle Train Cam (registration required). Keeping an eye out for Yoopers. Keep it family friendly...

The City of Rochelle just purchased the train park gift shop and will be making it even nicer. If you come for a visit, don't forget to give me a call to let me know you're in town. We're in the phone book. By the way, registration at the website is free and not a big thing. One of the unique things at the park is the emphasis on hobo history. It's pretty neat history to learn. I've been on the cam before. I stood in front of it, called Mary on the cell phone and had her bring up the page to see me. It was fun for the moment. The cam is looking west at the Del Monte plant. Bruce Edit: Oh, one more thing. A year and a half ago, Union Pacific opened up one of the largest intermodal facilities around. We used to have 100 or so trains go through Rochelle per day, now I think it's increased, as has the container truck traffic. The biggest problem is that now trains don't just go through the town, they tend to get stopped or backed up. It can get pretty frustrating at times. Fortunately, we have at least one overpass to tie the north and south sides of town together.
