How many hours per week do you ride?

This would be general all-around uni-ing, including muni, trials, street, etc. For me, I'd say that I'm averaging about 1 hour daily, plus maybe 4-5 hours on sunday when I join the SBuni group! So that makes about 10+ per week for me.

I probably rode about 7 hours over the past week. I don't think my aging body could've handled any more freestyle. But I just started to glide for the first time, so I couldn't help myself. Thank God it's raining today. I need a break.

Sub-question

Here's a sub-question: Has anyone noticed significant weight-loss and improved fitness since you started riding? Since re-starting my uni riding about 2 months ago, after a multi-year layoff, I've dropped from 160lbs, down to about 151, and I my endurance level has improved by leaps and bounds. And this is due mostly to riding muni about 1 hour daily, and also eating better and cutting out the sweets and junk food. So, for me, unicycling is as much about getting and staying fit, as it is about just having fun, which it way is! I'm with Phlegm above as far as "needing a break!" Especially after The Ojai muni ride yesterday with the SBuni group...what an EXTREME workout!

I've actually gained weight, but I've been an avid cyclist for almost all of my adult life. It seems that the higher ratio of anaerobic to aerobic exercise involved in unicycling compared to road and XC mountain biking has helped me retain more muscle mass. Or, it could just be due to my age.

Averaged out over the last 8 weeks, er... no hours at all. Not even a minute.

This situation needs rectifying.

Life gets in the way too often, and when it isn't life, it's darkness or inclement weather.

I ride several times a day, I'll go out and ride for 10 minutes-hour, come back in, do something, go back out and ride, etc...

I ride anywhere from 1 and a half to 2 hours a day, except for really rainy/bad weather days, and then on weekends, it can range from no practice to 3 or 4 hours.

I lost weight when I started but it was weird because I was under 100lb to begin with. I try to ride like an hour after school, then it gets dark then on the weekends I ride 2-3 hours or more, it seems like I am riding all day because I take lots of breaks. When I hurt myself then I ride less but I usually don't stop when I'm hurt unless I can't stand up or something, thats only happened a couple times though.
