Pedal grab with front foot or back foot?

I was wondering what foot people use to pedal grab (not crank grab) with. Post your hopping stance (which foot forward), which way your better at side hopping (left or right), and what foot you use to pedal grab with.

I pedal grab with my front foot and hop with my right foot forward. I hop higher to the left.

yes. when i was riding today i hopped up 3 pallets for the first time. i could only do seat out and hopping to the left. when i tried to the right i couldnt get the height. I always thought i was better at hopping to the right, and i was until today for some reason. so i think i need to learn pedal grabs with my back foot or stall on the ledge and do a body variel and the go to rubber.

I do everything to my right (back foot), so when I do learn pedal grabs I guess they will be with my back foot.

Who are the people that said the could do it both ways? I want to learn it with my back foot (i can already do it with my front foot) and was wondering how long it would take to learn it with the other foot?

And everyone else, post which foot forward you have and which way you hop (look at the first post). Im wondering if anyone has the same problem as me.

most people pedal grab with their front foot, because its easier. but I'm weird, so i pedal grab with my back foot using mike middleton's technique...that is, get your back pedal on the obstacle, then bring your front pedal up in back instead of in front. so for me, my left foot is usually back for hopping, but when i'm in a pedalgrab, my left foot is in front. then pull the uni up, and jump up at the same time so the wheel spins half a revolution, and you land with your front foot in front again.
yeah, i don't think that made much sense at all...but it works for me.

I pedal grab with my back foot.

Last summer I fractured my right wrist, while I had the wrist splinted I jumped holding with my left hand and learned to sidehop to the right instead of the left. When I learned to pedal grab I hop way better to the right, so now I have to pedal grab with my hind foot.

hop with my left foot in front, hopping left. pedal grab/grind with right foot. yeah, it's weird. I need to learn pedal grabs with left/front foot.

I go left foot, front foot, jump to the left.
I only need to work on getting to rubber.

I can do both, but my I like going to my back foot whenever I can. Left side is better than the right, and the left foot is the one that is back.

Grinds however I find it easier to hit the front foot so for thoes I often hop to the right side and hit my right foot.

Skate4Flip, I have the exact same problem as you

I'm right foot forwards and always pedal grab, crank grab, and grind with that foot forewards.

I hop w/ my left hand on the saddle, seat in and seat out, and am better at hopping to the left. I have to do pedal grabs to the right, however, and this is really frustrating!!!

With all these people talking about using their back foot i'm going to see if I can crank grab to the left w/ my back foot! I can get up from a crankgrab w/ my front foot, but can't get up from my back foot, any advice?

Also, I can't yet get up from a pedal grab to rubber, just from crank grab. I'm wondering if you guys have any tips for pedal grab to rubber vs. crank grab to rubber?

i almost always pedal grab, crankstall, whatever with my right foot, my back one.. but i can, i dont like to and its really awkward feeling do it with my left, front foot.

yeah, i don't think that made much sense at all...but it works for me.
