The FlyBar: reviews?

I goog'd for newsgroup reviews of the the Flybar , a post-millenial, butched-up pogo stick suitable for Jesse Ventura (Xtreme toys for boys link), and found the first three hits were from RSU -- who'da thunk?

Anyway, there was a bit of buzz last year before it went on sale, but not a lot since. Does anyone have any experience with or opinions about them?

I really want one of these! I don't know where to get them in the uk.

It all started a while ago before i started unicycling. I found an old pogo stick and started mastering pedalgrabs, 180, 360 hops (off 4/5 crates) and my greatest achievement is a 540 pogo spin.

it was cheap from argos so fell to bits and i haven't been able to go pogo since.

If I ever just find $300 that I need to blow a flybar is where I'm going. Or win the lotto. They would be hugely popular I think if not for the price tag.

I hear you have to use it on really hard concrete. You'll sink into asfalt and if you pogo when its wet you'll slip out and die. Maybe not die but think about slipping out when your going real hard on it.

I just watched the video off the link and it seems pretty good. The tricks that the pros do are pretty newbish (except one). This means it could be a good sport to get onto the bottom rung of, and get good before it becomes more popular!
