New kind of cloud

ok so this might be old news for some of you, but I just found out about it and its completly awesome. Over Joplin, Missouri so far I dont think the clouds have a name but they almost look too cool to be real.

Not as trippy as what the clouds did in Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Last Ark. That was freaky.

The clouds that I photographed just hours before this thread appeared aren't nearly as awesome, but I reckoned this is a good place to share one of them. Of course I could have increased the contrast to make it more spectacular, but this picture has only gone through an automatic image enhancement programme, and it is still largely how I saw it.

Don't you mean Close Encounters of the Third Kind? I think the effect was developed for that movie. Something like milk poured into water, in slow motion.

Those real clouds are much cooler, because they're real! I wonder what the effect is that makes them?

I was thinking of the clouds that came down and killed the people who opened the Ark. Hmmm, but now that I think back they weren't actually clouds. More like the hand of God. The clouds in Close Encounters were cool too and more cloud like.
