I have always though unicycling in some form should be in both the Olympics and the XGames.

Olympics has tramploineing, so why not unicycling?

Yeah really, they could do a mix between trials, MUni, and riding with your eyes shut!

You gave up on juggling three balls? It's much easier than learning to ride a unicycle. This is very easy to prove.

Interestingly, most jugglers say the same thing about riding a unicycle. You need more space, you generally have to be outdoors (unless you have a gym), etc.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with not being interested in juggling. I used to be a lot more interested. Now when I go to juggling conventions, I almost try to not juggle the whole time I'm there...

You are a snob. You are confusing *toss juggling* with juggling. Contact juggling is not toss juggling. Happy? Even the IJA, which is a very recent development in the world of juggling, does not have such a narrow view. You may never have seen a good contact juggler, such as Michael Moschen. But either way, it's still a form of juggling.

Some unicyclists think certain types of unicycling aren't good enough for other types. Like Freestylers not appreciating hockey players because they don't know how to do any tricks. Too bad, they are all unicyclists.

Or should I use bicyclists, who don't think of us as cyclists. Too bad, we are.

Sorry MERCYME, didn't realize until I saw your picture that you're a little kid. That explains a lot. Also it looks like you can juggle five balls better than me.

I can juggle five and a half balls.

I can't speak for Anthony, but I can pose a couple of whys, one of which is probably it:

1. He was working. Professional juggler working means juggler doesn't need to win competitions or otherwise add to his portfolio. He's already really, really good.

2. He has nothing to prove. He has already set tons of records. Adding more to his resume don't necessarily help.

Okay, one more

3. (I don't know what he's up to or where his training is) He may not be in a place where he's up for a competition where he wouldn't win. Since he has dominated similar competitions in the past, he doesn't necessarily need to do it again.

There are people in the unicycling world who have refrained from competing, even though they were very good, because the did not want to risk not winning.

I was curious as to what contact juggling was so I googled it.
I found contactjuggling.org
The definition that they have is:

Contact Juggling (also known as Dynamic Manipulation, Sphereplay, Orb Rolling, etc) is a relatively new form of juggling where balls are rolled over the hands and body instead of tossing them in the air. The fundamental ideas of contact juggling were formulated by physical artist Michael Moschen, although different forms of CJ (as we call it) have been around for quite some time.

They also have some videos as well, and it does require pratice!

Damn! That just ruined this great mental picture I had of teams of jugglers body slamming each other while they juggled

Sorry to sound snobby about that, i know im a little kid (actually not that little) I do now think that contact juggling is part of juggling, but i don't find it very interesting, i still respect the people that do it and that they are very talented. and how can u juggle 5 and a half??? I mean i probably could do that if u are talking about half of a jugling ball, but if they had half juggling balls i would like to get one becuase they sound cool.

Very badly. If it could do it better I could call it six...

As for Gladiators, try a search on Club Combat, or Juggling Combat. That's what they call it over here, at least. Gladiators is what they call unicycle demolition derby in the UK. Or Sumo? I think of it as Sumo when it's one-on-one, and then Gladiators/Demolition Derby/King of the Hill when it's a group.

Yes, trampoline is an Olympic sport (subjectively judged). Guess where that one came from? Yup, it was in the circus first.
