Not really a quote, but a convo i had from one of the people i would of least expected to recognise me in all my gear!
Yesterday while at work i had to go up to the Directors Office, his PA said to me on walking into her office:
'Did i see you on a little one wheeled bike last night?'
Me 'Where abouts?' (i said that knowing im really the only frequent rider round the place so it woulda been me)
Her 'Near the Shoreline?' (a shopping centre down here)
Me 'Yeah, that woulda been me, i ride it round a bit'
Her 'Thats really clever, do you compete?'
Me 'Nope, i dont compete, not enough other people in the state ride'
Her 'Oh, ok then, well keep it up, its really good!'
Me 'yeah, thanks, i dont plan on putting it away any time soon!'
We then talked work, i grabbed my Contracts and left.
Just a shame she isnt my age!

just cause she isn't your age doesn't mean you can't teach her to ride

Riding past an elderly lady on the beach front today, she gasped audibly, threw her hands to her mouth and clapped like an excited five year old.

You can't help but smile when something like that happens.

2day an elderly couple asked me where i got my unicycle from and when i told them i made it. They gasped and asked if i could make them for their grandson. But i told i could one step better so i showed them a list of my homemade unicycles which were at home and they decided to buy 1 off me. The good thing was i was feeling generous so i said to them "$50 but i would like to see it going to a good cause" and they agreed.

I've seen this couple look at me riding my machines before and maybe they were afraid of asking me or something. At least they asked which was good.

Is this how the Hazmat epidemic is spreading? Good show. This is a nice way to bring more into the fold. Very generous of you.

I rode through downtown portland yesterday during school and a few touristy people took pictures of me while I rode down the street and a ton of people said things like "wow a unicycle" or "how can he stay in one place like that?" and one particularly drunken homeless man said "Hey, Loo- Look! i-it's a-a Uni-Unicy-Unicycle! I-I Th-Think I-I nee-need anoth-another Beeeer."
