Crank arm length???

Im probably gonna order a road unicycle soon, but i dont know how long crank arms i should have... im only gonna use it for transport, and that might include one or two hills...

Any ideas for how long my crank arms should be??? its a 29" btw

I use 127s on my 26er roadie. If you aren't going to take hills, which I do, 127 should work well on a 29er. Some go smaller, but I don't think I would like it much smaller then 125 because of the lack of tourque.

If you are experienced with strong legs, or you're willing to work to get there, get 110. a couple of us have them and really like the speed, but it's true, you can lose tork, and hills can be tough, both up and controlling the speed down steep hills (though most roads have gentle slopes of no concern).

No knowing you and your tastes, I cannot truly recommend, just giving you something to consider.

I am hoping to enlist a math person here to tell me if these ratios are correct:

36" wheel : 6" cranks = 30" wheel : 5" cranks =
24" wheel : 4" cranks.

with 30" wheel roughly being 29" wheel. Apologize for all the rounding here.

OR

30" : 5" = 25" [24"] : 4" = 20" : 3"
The point is that if ride 6" on my Coker, it would be roughly the same experience riding 5" on my 29, etc. Whereas if I ride 5" on my Coker, I might ride 4" on my 29. What do you think?
