If you have Windows XP, then you already have Windows Movie Maker. Go into the start menu -> All Programs -> Somewhere, there's Movie Maker in there.
But if you don't have XP, then I don't know of any free Movie Makers. I want to buy Premiere, but it's way too expensive.

I'm using Windows Movie Maker 2 (a downloadable upgrade to movie maker 1) to make our DVD. I love it, because it's very easy to use and I'm a novice at editing.

Can you do slow motion in Windows Movie Maker 2? Oh yeah andrew, why do I always miss you by like half an hour?

Yes, you can speed up and slow down clips in WMM2 but only to double or half speed.

I personally love Windows Movie Maker. But my computer screwed up, and it won't work. So I'm going to illegally get Adobe Premiere burned from a friend. Maybe. Or I'll just buy it for $600 from Office Depot, and then sell my movie and it'll be so good that the money I make from it will make the program pay for itself.
