UniMeets UK

If you weren't at Denton this today you missed a great time :-P

Thanks to Stuart for organising it. The venue was great, the free coffee was fantastic and the unicycling was great. Learnt a couple of new tricks and played loads of hockey!

Indeed - I thought it was excellent. Plenty of mad stuff going on. I'm shattered now so it's off to bed.

Excellent Day …looking forward to the next. By which time, we should I hope have had time to devise some extra obstacles for the trials course.

We could also do a muni ride on Sunday (ie Wassenden Head, Saddleworth - 3.5 miles of downhill bridlepath) if enough people were interested.

I hope more turn up next time, perhaps from the South ie Midlands.

The lack of notice did it for me. The first I heard about it was Naomi's
post that I received last Monday. By then I'd arranged a muni meet for
members of our club. Ho hum. Hopefully get to the next (Denton) one.
I'll almost certainly be at the Wolverley ones.

Hope the split locations doesn't result in people just going to their
"local" one every 2 months rather than going to a mix and meeting some
other riders.

Regards,
Mark.

I certainly agree with everyone - It really was an excellant day. Playing so much hockey while using the whole of the hall was definetly the hi-light for me. My legs are still suffering from all the extra hockey.

Thanks for running the workshops Roger. You always come up with something unusual to learn! By-the-way Roger, I used a lump hamer to staighten my seat stem, so I don't need to replace it just yet.

I've already got some ideas on what to build to make the trials course (the jigsaw) more interesting/harder. I'm pleased it was such a big success. If anyone has any suggestions on what they'd like included, then let me know.

With Wendy expecting in 4 weeks time it's highly unlikely I'll be able to make it to Kidderminster next month, so I'll hopefully see you all again in Manchester on the 13th December.

Good luck on Monday Joe.
Thanks again for a great day Stu.
See you all soon.

Steve (the jigsaw man)

I'm afraid that's gonna happen with us. A round trip of
500 miles is a bit much for a 1 day event...
