my boss came to me late yesterday afternoon and asked me if i could work this morning
i was quite happy to do that, and got here at about 8 my time, curious as all hell to find out what happened on MR

We could propose that everyone in MR change to 20 or 30 posts per page after the 1000th page thing is all done. Then we'd get the benefit of being able to read more posts per page (that has to be more efficient, think about it) and get another shot at page 1000 goodness.

ah? the benifit is being able to see more posts per page....AKA not having to load a new page ever 20 posts.

im on 56k and there is hardly any slow down to get twice as much on one screen..if i had BroadBand i would use the highest option, then i would be on page 300 or somthing like that.

i have been thinking about it and i can't really see the increase in efficiency
wether i view 20 or 40 ppp, my internet connection must still download 40 messages
most of the page make-up and avatars are allready in the cache after the first page of 20, so i really don't see the increase in efficiency to go for 40 ppp
and i'm not being bloody minded or anything
if anyone cares to try n explain it to me, i will listen
