Unemployed for the weekend.

Unfortunately I am squandering my temporary freedom by cleaning, packing, and moving out. driving 350km south, switching some stuff, then driving 650km north and moving in to the place I had last year.

I'm always jealous of your wanderings. But at the same time I don't think I could do it, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

just wandering back to the same job and same cabin I had last year. Heading down to my parents' place to drop off winter stuff and pick up summer stuff. not much of a road-trip.

Should be an interesting year at the fire base this year. The crews got switched up and we are adding another crew member position. I am going to have to brush up on my heavy accents (and or learn cree).

I will be switching over to Leo's crew and we get two new guys. Nobody can really understand Leo when he speaks "english". It might be easier to learn cree than figure out what he is saying half the time.

The new guys are an ozzy and an old grizzled guy who is apparently a retired Conservation Officer. My base supervisor told me that the only words he understands out of the ozzy is "no problem' and 'no worries', I have some cousins from down under so I shouldn't have too much trouble there.
