Segway is on sale for consumers
The much acclaimed, at least by some, Segway is out and available for sale. The article is here . . Segway Article
I like the ad comparing the unicycle to the Segway. The only error is in the price. How many uni.5's can you buy for $4,950? That's a question for Greg Harper and unicycle.com. Come on Greg, let's get the uni.5 out before the Segway actually hits the streets or sidewalks. |

I think the idea is really cool, but they make it too expensive. The average person is not going to be willing to shell out $5000 for a new toy. (The average person being me.
) And i have too many toys already... anyhoo, i love segways. If i was a Bill Gates type of person, I'd be the first one to get a Segway. I've seen those things in action on TV and they look cool. But, a uni looks like much more of a challenge.... not thay wussy self-balancing Segway junk..

You have no idea how wierd and cool these things are till you see them fly by you in person.
This summer at the National Grand Prix in DC one of the tire companies Goodyear or Firestone, had like 10 of them and were using them to send people arround the racetrack. These things are a lazy man's dream. It so beats walking places... and if I had 5 grand I would so get one. Chex

Cool tire on that! Do you think if it were built into a (non-motorized) uni that it would be pedalable?
Oh, and Thanks for showing us all the facets of that: CRASY, CRASY, CRASY ACROBAT!!!
