this case, they probably failed to get alerted because the sequence of

As far as where you can pick up a Muni in canada, I would say the Norco's are probably your best bet if you want something whole. You may be able to Put together a custom ride with parts you can order at a bike shop too, Just need to find or make a decent frame. And get a good Hub.
