Now that we have aliens that have passed Level 10, its time to seriously think
about what skills should be on Level 11. While working on "hopping standing on
wheel" (Level 6), I thought of a good skill for Level
11: "hopping standing on seat." Or maybe this should be on Level 12
. . . Anybody care to demonstrate?

Good thinking! For years I have been suggestying that one of the most dificult
skills would be coasting while standing on the seat (seideway). I have had
several people claim this to be impossible. Though I don't really believe in
"impossible skills" -- except for spinning while coasting up a flight of stairs
:-) -- I cannot imaging how one can hop standing on the seat if you have no
contact at all with the wheel, say with one foot. It would see that with the
first hop you wouod irrecoverably lose your balance, but I may be wrong.

Be that as it may, I think riding while standing on the seat would be easier,
and I am waiting for the day that someone will do it.

Some skills for level 11: Frontspin while coasting Backspin while coasting

But that assumes that the rider has mastered backwards coasting sometime between
level 10 and attempting level 11. Something for the aliens to work on.

I have seen this done on several occasions, at least to a limited extent.

This is not new either, I think.

RE: Skill Level 11

I'm still working on skill level 1, but I have a suggestion for skill level
11. Doing a one handed hand stand on the seat while wheel walking with the
other hand.

I hope to make it out of the hall soon. I'm having a hard time with the side
balance. I did get some wrist guards and elbow guards and I am thinking of tying
a pillow on my rear. I may venture out in the open and give it a try. My recent
fall in the yard has traumatized me some about falling. I'm just not too sure
how much these 72 year old bones will take. I have taken some pretty good falls
in the last year or so, one down several steps onto concrete face first and came
up bleeding in about 10-15 places, palms, knees, forehead, (bent my glasses
pretty bad), but no broken bones yet. I keep trying on the unicycle and am not
ready to give up yet.
