Who's using shims with their Schlumpf?

I know a few of you are using square taper Schlumpf hubs on frames with 42mm bearing holders. I need real world opinions here from people who have done it.

Problems?

I haven't seen anyone who does this. It is a bad idea with the torque-bearing version of the Schlumpf hubs (KH or square taper).

It should be fine with the original Schlumpf with the lever arm connected to the frame. But it would seem to risk failure with any of the current models.
