Gallery Update

Hi Gilby!

I´ve noticed some updates in the gallery, the RSS thing, white header...

I dont like the white because it seems horible with some backgrounds, the fact is that it doent really matters, ok the problem is another thing...

You have to click twice each time you want to seeea a video, before the update you could click once to save the video but now, with this new way of action, you spent a lot of time.

It is just my point of view, you may have reasons.

Anyway.. you are doin a nice job!

Pepe

The gallery software was upgraded a couple days ago to the latest of the version 1 branch. I needed to do this because it had some extra admin tools in it that would fix some things and make it possible to successfully upgrade it to 2.0 on my test setup. In the next few days this entire site will get upgraded, including an upgrade of the gallery to version 2, which will be completely different from how it is now.

As I've seen other users using the RSS function on the new version, I was about to request that.
Cool, but what is/are the url(s)?

Patience... you'll notice a significant change when the gallery has been upgraded.

What about permissions?? How can I make a group or add permisions to the Everybody group??

How can I hide pics? I used to use a draw identify each folder, the draw was the highlight pic and it was hidden, I dont want this draw to be part of the gallery folder just the logo of it how can I do that now?

Thanks Gilby!!

Hiding items is a little bit more complicated than it was in the older version of the gallery. Now you have to edit the group permissions to hide the item from view.

Go to Edit Permissions
Remove the Group Permissions for "Everybody" to "[core] View all versions"

That should hide it. You can test it by going to your gallery and in the bottom right corner there is an option to view the page as either yourself (logged in) or as a guest. View the page as a guest to see how others will see your gallery.

I went ahead and also removed the group permission for "Everybody" to also view comments and add comments for the item I wanted to hide, but I don't think that was necessary.

G'day Gilby,

Not sure if you know of it or not but this comes up at the top of the page in the gallery. Everything seems to still work fine though...

"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/unicyclist.com/htdocs/gallery2/modules/customfield/classes/CustomFieldHelper.class on line 245"

eaccellerator caching issues... clearing fixed it for now, but it'll probably return.

It's the ea thing again.

I might just have to turn it off to see how it performs w/o caching.
