There are no restrictions as fas as I am aware. Btw, other course this year were MUCH more challenging... check out my other Cross Crusade videos (sadly there is no Unicycle coverage, though)

I have never seen anyone show up with a 36er, but it definately would have dominated this race. There are some guys in the area who have them. So far, the KH29er, has been the wheel to beat.

It's great time and a great way to meet other unicyclists, or to get started. I learned to ride specifically to enter this series because it looked like such a blast. Hopefully, the ranks will swell in next years series.

How come everyone is calling everything World Championships all of the sudden? I understand a Unicon being a world champ, but we had this meeting in Holland and the guy who won the MUni race was proclaimed 'World Champion Uni Meeting 2006', which I thought was pretty awkward. In this post I mean to show off some of my forum skills, like changer the color of text, or making it bold I might even throw in some italic or a combination. This thread should have died before it got started.

P.S. I nearly forgot an exclamation point !

You're right, after all.

This is a true outrage! How dare these numbskulls make such absurb claims of being a world champion. This is a call-out: Will the the REAL world champion of uni-cross please stand-up, announce yourself and show your credentials? And they better be good, because they will be scrutinized by some of the sharpest teenagers on the internet. Bring it! Let's settle this once and for all.

We're not talking about champions, we're talking about championships, riding one lap in a bike competition doesn't sound very much like a championship to me.

Oh, crap. I still agree with you totaly. Will the real world championship of uni-cross please stand-up. These fake-o championships simply will not do. Thank you clarifying.

Unicross

I think it's pretty cool that the CrossCrusade (the worlds most well attended cyclocross series) is making space and giving recognition to single speed bicycles and even unicycles. In the long-run it's good for sport unicycling.

But that's just my $.02 - I'm not a unicyclist or even a bike racer - I just make cycling videos which you can see (shameless self promotion) at CrankMyChain.com. I'd be interested in video taping or posting anything you'all deem more worthy of my attention.

Thanks for the forum.

Theres a lot of muni event that happen just down in California. Like the California Muni Weekend (CMW), there was one just a few days ago down there, and a lot of rides get planned down there.

If you ever get a chance, go to one of the bigger events held down there and youll be getting some really great filming done. =p

This is wierd

A Poem:

CRY BAN PUBES NOT FLAN

One wheeled egos Upset and crying
Where IS the mommy?
This man presents challenges
I don't like what he's saying
UNCLE MONTY's HAIR IS GRAYING!

Instanly like oatmeal
forum Queen deems ban
irrepantsless of efforts
by daring daring dan
YUBAN.

Mysteriously like Liquid Plumber
The ban itself becomes banned
Can't hold the question
Queen: are you a cutter? or a runner?
YES! YES! ALMOND BUTTER!

Childhood memories repressed
The sand in your pants itches
the robes may have made you undressed
Yet it is I who am flicking your switches.
SANDWICHES!

Now Stand I say! Off to group!
Make the wallets!
The Lanyards!
The Moccasins!
Work and time may belay the hating, berating, complaining.
THE MOON IS WAXING, NOT WANING!

So ban away don't listen.
"Why can't people be like me?"
That man stirs the hive.
"you poopy-doody. not like me"
One wheeled wonders seek external validation
"But I'm cool. My mom said so"
Would that My words cause reflection
"I'm making a linux based unicycle out of my own pubic hair."
LOVE ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRING IT

It must be official

What other one-wheeled event has a) a movie already on shelves everywhere (assuming many people keep their computers on some sort of shelf,) b) a song written specificially for the event, and 3) Their very own Poet Laureat? The Olympics come to mind...yep, just the Olympics. Guess that makes the World Unicross Championship on par with those games.

Nuff said? Problably not but if you haven't seen the movie posted on crankmychain.com, go look.

BTW - Dan's not Doper, I know Doper and he's no Dan.
