Deep Water Challenge
Riding after the rain three days ago gave me the idea for a special challenge:
What is the deepest water you can ride through? I have no proof for my claim since there is no video of it, but my puddle was about 8 inches (20 cm) deep. I know that's not much but it can be considered a starting point. Here are the rules: 1. video documentation of the ride 2. the ride has to start and end outside the water 3. no breathing apparatus allowed 4. the deepest point reached has to be measured I think some interesting videos can come from this challenge. Looking forward to your contributions. Older videos should be allowed, if they make an estimate of water depth possible. |

Maybe there should be two categories: non-giraffe-unicycles and giraffes. Would be interesting to see someone ride a giraffe through 20-foot deep water!

Riding on the Beach
Does it count when you rode on a beach and the tide was coming in a few hours afterwards, you would have been ridden 1 or 2 meters under water?

I had been living in Saint Michel-en-Grève for 4 years !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() (and in Lannion 4 years just before). I left this area in 2005 to go back to Paris suburbs.

I canˋt idle nor ride that long, so I needed a tsunami to fulfill your rules.
But a tsunami would have been a UPDWC — unplanned deep water challange

Unicycling in neck deep water might be good for bouyancy would help a beginner learn basic balance.
Then, as the rider progresses, gradually drain the swamp or pool until many of the movements and balance can be done without it. Looking forward to seeing some new training videos out there of people using this method to learn. ![]()

Got me a Hatchet now. Deepest so far was about 10cm, Video on muni chat group in facebook. Didn’t measure the depth „officially“ though.
