Looks like they beat the British record but missed out on the world record

I should also add, well done. Quite an effort, I am sure. You should all be proud!

Was Joff Summerfield one of the riders? I want to know if there were two people who cycled around the world in the team (Joff did it on a Penny). This would also partially clarify what the other pennys were (Joff builds his own).

Also wondering if anyone had a http://www.standardhighwheels.se penny (maybe Per-Olof Kippel himself?), as I think they look beautiful. No offense to UDC intended, just my personal preference.

WOW!!

Well done to Mark, Roger and the team. Mark gave a great description of what it's like to be racing a penny farthing.

I recently passed a man riding a modern penny farthing. I waved to him and he smiled back. I was on my 36er but he was still towering over me. It must take some nerve to race a penny farthing

Thanks Mikefule for posting the video.

Joff was in the team but had to pull out for personal reasons only the week before.

All the penny farthings were UDC except for one which was the precursor one made by Richard Thoday.

It is ok liking Kippel's Penny farthings.

oops, I slipped in some bonus ones in that video list.

One is from this years Nocturne race and one is from the practice session from Joff's 3d camera.

That's a shame. I presume he would have ridden his own.

GCN's video is just out. Their take is, I think, the best one on the record:

We are talking about it and have a plan. It is not something that can be done quickly.

Of course, understandable. Well if you do, I'll be rooting for you!
