If that annoyed you and you want him to shut up.
Just stop and say "show me..."

That will shut him up, but if he doubles down(meaning: he is lying, but is stupid enough to try).
He will get a good lesson on spiked pedals.

Keep on...
Haha..i have had a few similar shouts...and the common one where someone is like 'That's easy, stop showboating' ....
some go overboard by calling you a freak..i mean..when did taking your tie and interest to learn something make you a freak?

I've been called a "poser" and accused of being an "attention seeking showoff".

Fortunately such negativity is quite rare.

That's the one I forgot from the other day (see my previous post), a woman riding the opposite way smiled and said "Showoff". I had just enough time to say "That's me!"

I might as well own it. I mostly don't even thing about the showing off aspect of unicycling anymore, but it's still there. Otherwise I could be riding something much more efficient... if boring.

"Showoff???... It's super easy and anyone that can walk can do it. You should try!"

Let 'em think about it later.

Life's a car ride. Sometimes it's cruise control down smooth highways. Other times it's potholes on rural roads.

I've seen motor bikes with two disks on their (front) wheels, but on a uni?

Two disc brakes on a uni is especially for people who are afraid to fall off, if they are to dismount and they would have to ride for all eternity. Two discs take away that fear.

I don't get it. Even the one brake makes me more afraid of falling off -- from using the brake!

There are two pads in the caliper.

Unicyclists: always splitting hairs. Two pads + one rotor + one caliper + one lever = ???

Fill in the blank. I'll start it off with "Face damage". :P

I tell people the brake is also known as the eject lever.

this morning while muni-ing in the woods we came across a bunch of middle-aged MTBers.
a discussion on the benefits of unicycling ensued ...

Me: ... and it strenghtens your "love handles"
MTBer (with big belly): ... so you noticed our weak spot!

As I was riding up a long hill, I passed two boys pushing their bicycles. One said, "Aw, he's got a mountain bike tire!" The other asked, "Is that carbon fiber?" I told him it was aluminum. Then the first boy asked, "Is that supposed to be exercise?" I replied, "I'm breathing hard." Then he said, "Yeah, much better exercise than a bike!"

A few weeks ago I heard a nice twist of that half a bike saying.
A mountain biker said to me: „Oh, you must have much less rolling resistance!“

That's a clever one!

Thinking of a fun response: "Yes, but much less falling resistance!"
