knocked off 50k

New trail opening so along we went, even got interviewed at finish, photographed and had to give demo. I only got blown off twice after cross wind picked up to what felt to me hurricane proportions and tossed me onto trail. Enjoyable ride with many cyclists to chat to. Notice says it was hunting season but not on Unicyclists luckily.

....

This was on the downside of a local dam. Decided to ride some while the older kids fished.

I really have not yet encountered any discomfort from those jeans.
They're thin and stretchy and I don't make that many miles yet.

But I see that for longer rides proper cycling gear could be in order

Beach!

Love the coast and we TRY to ride there often........ but this particular area is difficult with the soft sand and loose rocks.

What would George Peck do? Looks like a fine day to be there either way.

No need for fancy bike shorts unless you're racing

I wear Jeans because they're the only trousers I own, I don't find they're any real bother. Over the course of last weekend I did 54 miles but i'm using the old style Nimbus gel seat, which i'm finding really uncomfortable (too banana-shaped). What's the best seat for long distance road riding (obvs up for debate)? Currently tempted by the KH fusion but UDC UK are out of stock at the moment.

To keep in theme with the title of this thread:
