Karl Malden How many are we up to now? Would these non-household name celebs even be getting mentions in the media if we weren't still on a dead celebrity kick because of MJ?

You see, for me, Karl Malden was someone I remember watching, where as Michael Jackson was just a pop star with a controversial life style. The news is for all age groups.

Malden was a great supporting actor long before his Television work. He appeared in so many great films, like "On the Waterfront", "A Streetcar named desire", Birdman of Alcatraz, The Cincinnati Kid, Patton, and many, many more! He lived an unusually long (97) life.

RIP.

Good grief! This started as a trickle, then it became a flood and now I don't think it's going too far to describe it as an avalanche.

True, but Karl Malden is not a household name even if many would recognize his work. I recognized the face but not the name. Whether they care about him or not a heck of a lot more people know who Michael Jackson is.
